25 years after the Inter-Rwandan Dialogue birthed ‘consensus democracy’, it is now time to revisit and renew the system.  On International Day of Democracy, nations come together to celebrate the core values that define true democratic societies: rule of law, active citizen participation, independent institutions, and a deep respect for human rights.
