Think African Podcast ep 10: A leadership revolution
African Arguments is delighted to partner with the Think African podcast series, created by Sound Africa in cooperation with Heinrich Böll Stiftung Cape Town. Think African examines the big questions that define the world from an unapologetically African point of view. Episodes are released twice a month and are hosted by Jedi Ramalapa, Editor in Chief of Sound Africa.
In episode ten, the final of the series, we talk about leadership. African states are often described as “corrupt”, “ungovernable” or in “chaos”, but is this due to poor leadership or something else? We speak to Ayak Chol Deng Alak, a medical doctor and head of research at the Strategic Defence and Security Review Board, an implementation mechanism of the Revitalised South Sudan Peace Agreement. She is a former deputy coordinator of the South Sudan Civil Society Forum and co-founder of the youth-led political movement AnaTaban.
