SAFRICA-POLITICS-PROTEST-VIOLENCE
The leader of the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) party, Helen Zille (C), marches on May 15, 2012 to the headquarters of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu), the country’s largest trade body, in the center of Johannesburg. DA supporters marched on the head office of the Cosatu to demand government wage subsidies for young people, which the party says will create over 400,000 jobs. Cosatu opposes the subsidy. Clashes broke out as Cosatu supporters met them in the streets. Cosatu is part of an alliance with the ruling African National Congress. AFP PHOTO / ALEXANDER JOE
