An Ansoms is a professor in development studies at UCL (Belgium) and a specialist on poverty and rural development in the African Great Lakes Region. Ine Cottyn has recently finished her PhD at Wageningen University (the Netherlands) on urban-rural dynamics in Rwanda and is currently a research fellow at Clingendael. René-Claude Niyonkuru is PhD student in development studies at UCL (Belgium); he is doing research on rural development in Rwanda. Toon Vrelust is programme officer for Rwanda at BD (Belgium) and has long-term experience in development cooperation with the African Great Lakes Region.
