Julie Zollmann

Julie Zollmann is a Nairobi-based independent researcher and PhD candidate at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Her dissertation research examines the economic impact and worker response to platform-mediated work in Nairobi. Julie’s other research attempts to deeply understand people’s money and technology lives with an aim to helping build and regulate systems that work better and more fairly for ordinary people. She leads the Kenya Financial Diaries project and is the author of the new book, Living on Little, published by Practical Action Publishing in July 2020.
