Kanika Batra

Kanika Batra is Professor of English and Affiliate Faculty in Women’s Studies at Texas Tech University. She researches and teaches transnational feminist and queer studies, globalization, urbanization, postcolonial and comparative literature. She has been a Fellow at the Stellenbosch Institute of Advanced Studies in South Africa and is the Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Society and Culture, University of Alberta in 2025. She is a co-editor of the Journal of African Cultural Studies.
