Leslie Bank is an Extraordinary Professor of Anthropology at Walter Sisulu University. Zipho Xego is a lecturer in Sociology and an engagement specialist at Walter Sisulu University. Rebecca Bank is a graduate student and disaster management specialist at the University of Cape Town. They all work on the IDRC-funded Women-RISE research project Ukuvula Isango on Covid recovery and reconstruction in the rural Eastern Cape in South Africa.
