Herbert F. Weiss

Herbert F. Weiss is Emeritus Professor at City University of New York (CUNY). He has been a student of Congo politics since 1959. His book about the independence struggle, "Political Protest in the Congo", received the Herskovits Prize of the African Studies Association (USA). In 2009, Université de Kinshasa (UNIKIN) organised a two-day colloquium on protest movements in his honour.
