Michael Lieber Cobb is a PhD Research Fellow at the Arnold-Bergstraesser-Institut Freiburg, Germany. His research focuses on governance in northern Ghana. He has an MA in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center Accra and BA in Study of Religions with Philosophy from the University of Ghana. Dr Erik Plänitz is an Associated Senior Researcher at the Arnold-Bergstraesser-Institut Freiburg, Germany. He has a PhD from the University of Freiburg and has conducted research on links between urban disorder and disasters in Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on Accra.
