Jorich Johann Loubser is a South African PhD student in International Development at the London School of Economics. His research investigates the diverse political economies that surround relationships between states in Southern Africa and transnational mining companies. He has previously studied at the Universities of Cape Town and Oxford. He hopes to one day work on the intersection of academia and policy-making in Southern Africa.
