Dr Nene Morisho is a Senior Researcher and Coordinator at Pole Institute based in Goma, Eastern DR Congo. His research mainly focuses on links between conflicts and economy, institutional and regulatory issues, especially related to the mining sector, cross border trade and management of cross border resources in the Great Lake region. Josepha Kalubi is the administrator and a researcher at Pole Institute. Her research experience mainly concerns conflict analysis and the political economy of the DRC mining sector. Dr Sung-Joon Park is a lecturer at the Department of Anthropology of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. His research is mainly concerned with exploring the history of unpreparedness for Ebola epidemics. Prof. Dr Martin Doevenspeck is a Political Geograper and senior researcher in the Cluster of Excellence ‘Africa Multiple’ at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. In his work he focuses on politics of (im)mobilities, borders and violent conflict in the DRC and West Africa.
