Dr. David Musoke is an Associate Professor and Head of Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at Makerere University School of Public Health, Uganda. His research interests include malaria prevention, environmental health, community health workers, one health, disease outbreaks, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Musoke is an Affiliate Member of the African Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences, Senior Visiting Fellow at Nottingham Trent University (UK), Extraordinary Lecturer at the University of Pretoria (South Africa), and President of the International Federation of Environmental Health. He is an Academic Editor for BMC Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, and PLOS Global Public Health journals.

Suzan Nakalawa is a PhD researcher at Canterbury Christ Church University, where her doctoral study examines policy implementation and intersectoral action for reducing health inequalities in post-COVID England, with a comparative focus on local city initiatives in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. Suzan holds a Master of Arts in Public Health from Nottingham Trent University and a Bachelor in Environmental Health Science from Makerere University, Uganda. In addition she has a vast experience in public health practice and research developed through her work as a Research Associate at Makerere University School of Public Health, Uganda where she contributed to projects antimicrobial stewardship, malaria, COVID -19 and the One Health approach.
